David has over 30 years' experience in critical control rooms, culminating as the Head of the London Metropolitan Police's Contact, Command and Control Centres – one of the largest, single emergency service facilities globally. Having retired in 2022, David is now a strategic consultant to the sector, with a keen interest in the future of control rooms and the power of data, enabled by technology (and not the other way around), to support strategic and operational decision making.
