Performance vs. Convenience in Streaming Media and Distributed AV
The new CEDIA/CTA-RP22 and upcoming RP23 Immersive Audio and Video Design Recommended Practices call for the preservation of artistic intent; that is, presenting media as closely as possible to the way the content creators intended. This course dives into a key aspect of this — how the content is accessed and distributed in the home.

This course discusses the rise of streaming content, comparing it to other sources in terms of bit rates, compression codecs, audio formats and HDR video, along with considerations for content types and gaming, options for IP- vs matrix-based distribution, and how to generally optimise connectivity. The end goal should be to deliver the best user experience.

Instructed by Daniel Adams, Chief Product Officer at Pulse-Eight, and CEDIA volunteer.
