Jorge Alves has a proven track record within retail design, concept development, equipment design, and art direction. After having worked in various communication and design groups in Portugal — such as Euro RSCG Design, Bates, Ativism, and Palexpo — Alves founded his own design boutique, Mind Trooper. In just 11 years the brand has evolved into a robust factory and started its globalisation process.

In addition to securing various national awards, such as the Best Integrated Campaign in the 2008 European Best Event Awards and being named a finalist in the EuroShop Awards in Dusseldorf, he has also juried EXHIBITOR Magazine’s Expo 2017 Awards. His meticulous eye for finishes and production details and his knowledge of how materials behave in the environment make him a reference expert in Portugal, providing consultancy and production support to leading brands in Madrid and Paris.
